Corporate Governance Decarbonization in the Supply Chain In a global scenario increasingly pressured by climate change, com- panies across all sectors are being called upon to adopt robust decar- bonization strategies. However, for these strategies to be effective and reliable, it is essential that they extend beyond the company’s direct operations and include the entire supply chain. It is in this context that due diligence becomes an indispensable strategic tool. As part of the sustainability improvement plan, COINDU asks its sup- pliers about their strategy on the GHG emissions, their carbon footprint targets and results as well as their decarbonisation plan. This due diligence helps COINDU to identify which suppliers have the greatest impact on emissions and which are most aligned with the company’s climate goals. 54
