COINDU | Sustainability Report - 2024

Environmental Dimension As shown in the table, from 2019 to 2024 COINDU recorded a sig- nificant reduction in GHG emissions intensity (tCO 2 e/set produced) across all its facilities. The most notable improvement was observed at the Joane facility, where the indicator decreased from 0,00571 tCO 2 e/set in 2019 to 0,00065 tCO 2 e/set in 2024. Tetla, in Mexico, also registered a meaningful reduction from 0,00567 to 0,00176 tCO 2 e/set during the same period. In 2024, the Arcos de Valdevez plant reported near zero emissions intensity. This outcome is primarily associated with the elimination of Scope 2 emissions, achieved through the exclusive use of electricity from renewable sources. Given the facility’s historically low Scope 1 emissions, even modest reductions had a notable influence on the overall intensity indicator.
