However, the company monitors indicators like energy intensity (kWh/car set) to track im- provements in production energy efficiency. EMISSIONS Climate change represents one of the most significant challenges currently faced by countries, governments, businesses or citizens, and will remain so for decades to come. This global phenomenon has profound implications for both human and natural systems, potentially leading to substantial transformations in resource use, production models, and overall economic activity. Aware of this context, a wide range of initiatives have been developed and implemented at the international, regional, national, and local levels to limit the concentration of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the Earth’s atmosphere. These initiatives are based on the quantification, monitoring, reporting, and verification of GHG emissions and removals, promoting a rigorous and transparent approach. To ensure the reliability and comparability of data, COINDU aligns with internationally recognized standards, such as ISO 14064-1—which provides guidelines for the quantification and reporting of GHG emis- sions and removals—and the GHG Protocol, widely adopted in the corporate context. These frameworks are essential tools for assessing environmental performance, setting emission reduction targets, and contributing meaningfully to global climate action commitments. GRI 302-5 91
