SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2024 Local Communities COINDU seeks to leave a positive legacy in the communities where it operates, establishing relationships based on trust, proximity and attention to local needs. This relationship is strengthened through a posture of openness and collaboration — both internally and externally — with the celebration of partnerships with local entities, organization of visits to manufacturing units by community institutions and universi- ties, among other initiatives. This exchange generates a mutually beneficial dynamic between the internal community (COINDU employees) and the external community (populations and institutions neighboring the units), promoting shared growth, innovation and the development of projects with real impact. One of COINDU’s oldest and most fruitful partnerships is with the University of Minho, which began in 2015. This collaboration has al- lowed university students to access the labor market through curricular and/or professional internships at COINDU, facilitating the acquisition of skills in a reference business environment and, at the same time, promoting the integration of young talents in the organization. Partnerships At COINDU, we recognize that active participation in sectoral and sustainability associations represents an essential lever for the con- tinuous progress of our environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibility practices. These affiliations reflect our commitment to integrate a global network of knowledge, sharing of good practices and collaborative innovation. By joining these associations, we have access to strategic tools, techni- cal resources and international benchmarks that allow us to align our operations with the highest standards of the automotive industry and 71
