COINDU | Sustainability Report - 2024
Social Dimension In 2024, we recorded a notable improvement on the work related injuries registered, with one fewer serious accident compared to the previous year and a sharp decrease in work-related injuries — from 98 to just 20. This positive trend reflects our continued commitment to creating a safer work environment for everyone. There were no fatalities because of work-related injuries, high-con- sequence work-related injuries (excluding fatalities) or recordable work-related injuries, related to external workers (service providers), however a serious work-related accident was recorded, involving an employee whose work and workplace are controlled by COINDU. The main types of work-related injuries were wounds and superficial injuries, musculoskeletal and other injuries or ill-defined injuries. COINDU has a documented procedure for Identification of hazards and assessment of risks. All sites have annually reviewed matrixes of Risk Assessment by Workstation matrixes. During the reporting period the identified hazardous that caused or contributed to high-consequence injuries were work at height, electric, run over/road accidents, noise and chemical agents. COINDU has two ways to take actions to minimize and eliminate work-related hazards. First, documented procedure for Identification of hazards and assessment of risks defines the Measures to be im- plemented/ Opportunities for the OHS. Second, all incident situations are treated according to Incident, non-compliance and corrective ac- tion procedures. No workers have been excluded from this disclosure. 128
