SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2023 Sustainability Strategy 2020-2025 COINDU’s Sustainability Strategy drives our actions in the period 2020 – 2025, involving all levels of the organization and our stakeholders, including customers, employees, suppliers, local communities, and partners. The sustainability strategy aims to consolidate our position- ing and build resilience to face current and future challenges, such as climate change, resource depletion and social inequality, in addi- tion to generating economic, social, and environmental benefits. The programs and initiatives contemplated in the sustainability strategy are focused on: • LONG-TERM BUSINESS STABILITY • GLOBAL FOOTPRINT AND GROWTH STRATEGY • STRENGTHEN ETHICAL CONDUCT IN ALL OPERATIONS • SUSTAINABLE ENERGY • WASTE REDUCTION Alongside with our customer and suppliers, COINDU is partnering with industry and government to advocate and promote sustainable practices in the automotive industry in four dimensions: • Reduce material waste and use recycled materials by minimizing the amount of material that is used in the production of car seats. • Improve energy efficiency production processes, by using more energy-efficient equipment or adopting renewable energy sources. • Develop eco-friendly car seats by research and develop car seats that are made from sustainable materials, and that are designed to be easily recycled at the end of their life. • Support sustainability in the supply chain, working with its suppliers to ensure that they are also implementing sustainable practices, such as reducing waste and conserving resources.
