Sustainability Vision and Strategy Context and Sustainability UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The SDGs are designed to be a blueprint for a better and more sustainable future for all, and ad- dress a wide range of global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, and environmental degradation. The SDGs are relevant to the automotive industry because the produc- tion and use of vehicles has significant impacts on the environment and society. COINDU can contribute to the achievement of several SDGs, including: SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-Being : COINDU contributes to this goal by developing and promoting safe working conditions, as well as improving access to health care, increasing promoting healthy behaviours, and addressing the root causes of health inequities. At industry level the promotion of vehicles that are safer and healthier for people to use, such as vehicles with advanced safety features or electric vehicles that produce fewer emissions. 5.
